We started out as market gardeners in 1998 then fell in love with growing babyleaf salads. Since 2003 (trading as The Lizard Leaf Company Ltd) we have been Cornwall's largest independent producer of mixed leaf salad packs producing for Hotels, Restaurants, Cafe's and Pubs throughout the county. However the corona virus pandemic changed all of that and with 95% of our existing business servicing the hospitality sector the lockdowns were utterly devastating for us. We knew we had to do something to survive so as quickly as we could we pivoted our business back to our roots as mixed vegetable and flower growers and started an honesty box at the farm gate. The support by our local community for this was quite simply overwhelming, encouraged by this and the many nice comments about the quality and freshness of our produce we dared to start a click and collect service. This made it possible for us to then supply groceries from other Cornish growers and producers alongside our own, we're now growing veggies, plants for sale and flowers like crazy and the launch of this e-commerce webstore makes it even easier for you to buy fresh local produce and reduce your food miles. We're developing our range of products in the store as quickly as our farming commitments allow so that it's all fresh, all Cornish and all in one place just for you.
